Abstract

Three new fossil eucnemid taxa (Coleoptera: Elateroidea) are described from amber deposits excavated from the vicinity of Santiago, Dominican Republic. The following new species are described: Phlegon femoralis, Adelothyreus micros and Nematodes breviangularis. Each new species is diagnosed and illustrated. Calyptocerus epicranus (Poinar) is transferred to the genus Otho Lacordaire, forming the new combination Otho epicranus (Poinar). The resulting change in the status of the extinct eucnemid creates a change in the status of Lissantauga Poinar becoming a new junior synonym to Otho.
