Abstract
The discovery of specimens matching the original description and photographs of the type of Enoclerus crabronarius (Spinola) (Coleoptera: Cleridae) appears to resolve the identity of this heretofore problematic species. One of these specimens is illustrated here, and location data for this species are presented for the first time. Enoclerus necator new species is described from Zacapa, Guatemala and Chiapas, Mexico. Enoclerus mocho Rifkind is synonymized under Enoclerus reburrus Barr. New distributional records for Cleridae are presented: one new country record for Mexico; five new state records for Mexico; 19 new country records for Guatemala; one new department record for Guatemala; five new country records for Nicaragua; one new country record for Costa Rica; two new country records for Belize; three new country records for Panama; and one new province record for Panama.
