Abstract

A new species of Buprestidae (Coleoptera), Chrysobothris bajacalifornica Westcott, is described from Baja California Sur, Mexico and discussed in relation to species I consider related to it. Acmaeodera lagunae Van Dyke, 1945 is newly synonymized under Acmaeodera flavosticta Horn, 1878, and Acmaeodera lucana Van Dyke, 1942 is newly synonymized under Acmaeodera subbalteata LeConte, 1863. A lectotype is designated for Acmaeodera flavosticta Horn.
