Abstract

A new species of katydid, Obolopteryx leineke (Orthoptera: Tettigoniidae: Phaneropterinae: Odonturini), is described from south central Texas. Tis katydid is an uncommon species with a late season occurrence. Te male cerci and subgenital plate of the new species are unique for the genus
