Abstract (reduced): The bark beetle fauna (Coleoptera: Scolytidae) of the West Indies is reviewed. Keys to the subfamilies, tribes, genera and species of the West Indies are presented. Three hundred and eighty-six species in 74 genera are included. Nine new genera and 195 new species are described. Also included: one new generic synonymy, 25 new species synonymies, 18 new combinations, seven names removed from synonymy, and one replacement name.
